Organised together with Pioneers Discover, the Booster Labs are short, compact weekend programmes dedicated to giving early-stage startups the insights, tools and skills they need to grow and make an impact, including the chance to pitch for funding of up to €25,000 from Booking.com.
Following our scouting process, we’re pleased to reveal the eleven sustainable tourism startups that will be invited to take part in an event that could be a game-changer in their stories as young businesses.

- Alternative Athens
- European Safari Company
- One Planet Rating
- Xmigrations
- CloudGuide
These startups, the best-quality fits from no less than 262 applications, are working on all manner of impactful tourism solutions, ranging from supporting local artists through a ‘creative experience’ booking platform to a ‘TripAdvisor for sustainability.’
The weekend event will begin with an inspiration day on the Friday, in which startups get to know each other and learn more about Booking.com B.V. and the importance of sustainable tourism and social impact.
On the Saturday, the focus will switch to giving the participating startups the tools they need to effectively scale their businesses, and giving them the opportunity to put them into action through practical one-on-one trainings and mentor meetings.
The Sunday programme will culminate in a final pitch session, after the startups finalise their scaling strategies and pitch presentations. The jury will then deliberate and evaluate the winners and potential grant allocations.
Our Open Call for the next Booster Lab, slated for March 2018, will go live in the first part of December. The same goes for next year’s Booking Booster, a three-week accelerator programme that will go ahead in May in Amsterdam, where Booking.com B.V. is based. Stay tuned to our channels for the details!
