Open Call: Booster Lab Tel Aviv & Booster Accelerator – Five Days Left to Apply

By January 2, 2018February 2nd, 2024No Comments

The first opportunity on which the sands of time are fast running out is the Booking.com Booster Lab event to be held in Tel Aviv at the start of March. Following the Booster Lab in Barcelona last month, this is the second leg in an international series aimed at helping early-stage startups make an impact through sustainable tourism.

Once again our consultancy arm is driving the startups selection process as well as developing and managing the content and framework for the event. And what kind of startups should be looking to apply this week? As in Barcelona, Pioneers Discover is keen to hear from early-stage startups seeking to tackle the challenge of sustainable tourism. This time they should be based in the Middle East region, however. Applicants also need to have a Minimum Viable Product that has been validated with customers.

Those selected for the Booster Lab in Tel Aviv will have a unique opportunity to explore experimentation and growth hacking initiatives with Booking.com experts, as well as the chance to pitch for grants of up to €25,000. Cultural destination gamification platform Nexto earned just such a grant in Barcelona, with several others also getting significant cash injections.

Meanwhile, if you’re a growth stage startup from anywhere around the world and dedicated to sustainable tourism, then the Booster Accelerator in Amsterdam could be for you. To be run over three weeks in the city that’s home to Booking.com headquarters, it will culminate in the chance to pitch for grants of up to €500,000.

For this second edition of the Booster Accelerator, Pioneers Discover will be driving the startups scouting process.. Applicants should have a proven business model with demonstrable local impact, and a readiness to scale to multiple destinations. They also need to have generated some revenue up to a limit of €1,5 million annually.

Startups applying for both open calls need to be registered as for-profit businesses.

If you fit the bill for either opportunity, don’t hesitate to apply via the Pioneers Discover Open Calls page right away before Sunday!
