Ahead of this dedicated health industry event on October 25, we’re looking for medical startups in the widest sense of the word. That means not only companies working on Personalized Medicine, Pharmacogenomics, Life Sciences, Biotech, Gene Therapy, Life Extension and Disease Prevention, but also in the emerging tech around Telehealth, eHealth, Smart Diagnostics, Quantified Self and Medical Data.
Startups developing AI & Machine Learning technologies related to health are also strongly encouraged to apply. And with health insurance set to undergo massive changes in the near future, so are those working on InsurTech.
As with all of our events, we’ll be hand-picking the best and most positive innovations out there. We don’t charge startups a penny, because we’re interested in nothing but the quality. So don’t hold back: if you’ve got a startup the world should know about, head over to our application page!

Why should I participate in Health.Pioneers?
This is one of the most founder-friendly events going. You’ll meet the best partners, investors, media and world-class, inspirational speakers. And as one of our selected startups, it’s free!
How do I apply?
Through the following link: https://piobay.pioneers.io/piobay/login/healthpioneers. Fill in your application carefully, including your pitch deck and pictures. The more precise information you give, the better your chances. And the earlier you apply, the better. Remember the deadline is September 18.
How are startups selected?
This is based on pre-defined criteria including the product, traction, market potential and team evaluation, as well as the fit for the event. We’re continuously screening applications and evaluate them in collaboration with our key partners in the corporate, investment and startup communities.
When will I know if I’m selected?
We’ll get in touch with you by the end of September at the latest.
What happens if I’m selected?
You get one free ticket for all-inclusive access to the event.
Can I get more than one free ticket?
In order to keep the quality at this small-scale event, we’re only giving one free ticket per startup. Only pitching or exhibiting startups will be able to purchase extra tickets, at a reduced price of €190.
How can I pitch or exhibit?
We’ll select 15 pitching startups and 10 exhibiting startups around three weeks before the event. You don’t need to apply separately.
What’s the prize for winning the pitching contest?
The winning startup will be fast-tracked directly to the Pioneers Challenge Top 50 at Pioneers’18, which means pitching on stage at the Hofburg in Vienna. They will also earn significant exposure to media, investors and potential partners.
How much does it cost?
For selected startups, only travel and accommodation. Your event ticket is completely free of charge.
What if I redeem my ticket but cannot attend after all?
Please inform us by October 15, if this is the case, so we can allocate your ticket to another deserving startup. If you don’t let us know by this date, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of €200 excluding VAT.
