In the latest open call by our consultancy arm, Pioneers Discover, we’re looking for startups who’d like to be among the participants in the three-day hackathon, which runs from September 15-17. Applicants should be confident they can develop new data-driven digital business models and applications in the areas of Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and Energy.
There will be a multitude of challenges to tackle at what is one of Germany’s biggest hackathons. Some of these will be issued by the event sponsors, led by principal partner TenneT. A variety of interesting prizes including Bitcoin vouchers and hi tech sensors will be on offer, with a pair of Pioneers’18 tickets going to the overall winner of the ‘What The Data!?’ Award.
Further event partners include Deutsche Bahn Mindbox, SICK Sensors, Harting, Danfoss, Pfannenberg and Schunk.
The hackathon isn’t just limited to technical challenges, but also offers 11 keynote talks, masterclasses and workshops from external experts. It takes place in the Research Institute at HAW Hamburg’s futuristic and fascinating Energie-Campus, which was opened just two years ago.
Pioneers Discover is working with Cybus not only to source the very best selection of relevant startups for the ‘What The Data!?’ Hackathon, but also in the planning, promotion and on-site operations.
