In line with the other programs of the Global Incubator Network (GIN), which oversees goAustria, our consultancy arm is looking for startups from South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Israel. Later-stage startups will have preference for the May program, while female founders are particularly encouraged to apply.
Startups will ideally be working in ICT, with the primary focus on IoT, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Blockchain, along with their application fields.
And what’s in it for the 10 startups selected to join the program? Apart from the high point of gaining access to Pioneers’18 in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace, the chosen founders will take part in exclusive, tailored workshops, learning about developing business models for the Austrian and European single market. They’ll each be assigned a personal mentor with deep knowledge of the local scene and the connections to develop internationalization plans.
Another highlight will be the second GIN Corporate Day, the perfect chance for the startups to meet as many corporate partners as possible through a business speed-dating session. Altogether the founders will get an introduction to a network of 300 investors and business angels during the May 2018 goAustria program, with opportunities to pitch to a selection of them.
Participation is limited to one person per startup, with flights, accommodation and co-working space in Vienna also included.
