Empowering home-based caregivers using digital solutions
How might we provide new digital solutions to empower on a day-to-day basis, caring relatives and non-professionals caregivers of elderly patients in a long-term homecare setting?
More than half of all dependents in Germany are cared for at home solely by caring relatives. Caring relatives are often overwhelmed by the great responsibility of coordinating, planning and adapting to these new and always changing circumstances and bear the significant emotional burden of caregivers often without professional training. The aim of this challenge is to empower caring relatives to be able to improve the quality of care at home, and provide them with a peace of mind knowing that their family member is being well cared for. To achieve this, we are searching for start-ups/partners that provide innovative digital solutions for people that care for elderly people at home.
