Here’s a short description of what each team does, so you can find your perfect role.
Event Management/ Operations
Love the thrill of unexpected situations and bringing creative solutions to the table? You’re an organizational genius and want to peek behind the scenes at a huge event? Then this team is for you!
This job is for those who appreciate hands-on work and the rewards that follow. Help us set-up the event in the two days leading up to the start, as well as put everything back into place afterwards. In between, you get to enjoy Pioneers’18 to the full!
Registration and Welcome
If you love working with people or have experience in hospitality, don’t hesitate to apply for this role. Your job will be to register our guests and give them a warm welcome.
Do you like to keep up to date with the coolest and most innovative startups from all over the world? Want to take the next step and meet them? Then startup coordination is for you! Take care of our Pioneers500 winners and make them feel like the champions they are.
Speakers & Concierge Service
Are you always one step ahead when it comes to the needs of others? Are you a non-stop smiler? Welcome our VIP guests at the airport, then take such excellent care of them at the event that they never want to leave.
Know your way around tech and want to know the secret behind the production of Pioneers Festival? Here’s where you can help prepare the stages for each of our speakers and make sure everything goes according to plan.
If, like Pioneers, you love connecting people, then this is where you’ll feel at home. Help our invited guests discuss their mad ideas with each other in our exclusive meeting rooms.
Are you always glued to your screen, reading and sharing content that grabs you? Post away and keep our guests and the wider public in the loop.
Media Lounge & Interview Coordination
This is where all the journalists will hang out. If you’re a genius when it comes to time-management and you love your media, then this might be the role for you. Help everyone find their spots and slots for interviews.
Are you an aspiring star snapper? Take the best shots of the coolest speakers and startups, and share them with the Pioneers team. Who knows, maybe this will be your breakthrough?
Information and Hospitality
Love telling others where to go and what to do? Be our know-it-all throughout the Festival, helping out our guests with information, advice and lots of smiles!
Side Events and After-Party
During the day you can enjoy Pioneers’18 to the full.The After-Party, of course, will last a little longer. Make sure side events and after-party events go smoothly. It might be hectic, but will certainly be fun!
Help wherever help is needed. You might end up running around all day, or you might find yourself listening to talks and relaxing in lounges. It’s a gamble, but it’s guaranteed to be fun either way.
Pioneers Ventures Support
Support the Pioneers Ventures team for the duration of the festival. Guard the Ventures booth with your life and tell everyone about our cool portfolio of startups.
Pioneers Discover Support
Help out the team whose job it is to scope out the best and brightest startups in the tech world, as they choose the absolute cream of the crop at Pioneers Festival.
Are you a born leader? Then this might be your chance to show the world, or at least Pioneers, what you’re made of. As a lead volunteer, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of your own small team. You’ll be involved in the onboarding of your colleagues as well as setting up timetables and managing your team during the event.
We don’t expect you to get going with no help, of course. We’ll provide you with cool and valuable workshops, where we’ll teach you about Pioneers and your tasks while also enhancing your leadership skills. Afterwards we’ll provide you with a certificate (like you’d receive for an internship) stating your skills, your participation and recommending you for further job opportunities.
Be aware that a position as a lead volunteer comes with a lot of responsibility. Please only apply if you feel confident about leading a small team and are willing to invest time in the workshops and the pre-organisation.
There will be about 3 workshops, each lasting around 3-4 hours, between March and June 2018. In addition there will be two onboarding sessions for all volunteers. You’ll also be asked to coordinate with your team before the event and set up meetings with your colleagues in addition to the workshops provided by Pioneers. You’ll receive constant feedback and support from Pioneers team members. If you’re interested in management positions, this is the ideal training for you.
