Luc is Vice President and Innovation Fellow at the Samsung Strategy and Open Innovation Center. He’s responsible for defining the vision and strategy for the Internet of Everything by creating an open ecosystem for connected objects. Luc previously directed Siri, Apple’s personal voice assistant, and was Chief Technologist at Hewlett-Packard, leading a global team of architects and developers. He also co-founded several companies, including ORB Networks, inventing “Place Shifting”, the remote, ubiquitous streaming of multimedia assets. He started his career at SRI International where he created the Computer Human Interaction Center which was involved in the development of the first smart refrigerator and car as well as the creation of Nuance Communications, now the World leader in Speech Recognition. Luc holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris, as well as BS and MS degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University Pierre & Marie Curie.
